Laser Hair Removal Treatment

During your initial consultation, you should notify Dr. Willis of your medical history and the current medications you’re on. This is also the time to ask any questions you have. We want you to know as much about the procedure as possible.

Laser hair removal will begin with your provider cleaning the treatment area. They may apply a numbing cream as well to ensure you’re completely comfortable. From there, the Forever Young BBL laser will be passed over the skin and target each follicle. At most, you will feel a slight snapping sensation, but most patients tolerate it very well.

How long treatment lasts depends on the size of the area being treated and the number of areas treated. It could take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.

Multiple treatment sessions are needed to ensure the hair is targeted at different growth cycles. The hair will then thin and eventually be eliminated altogether.

Because the Forever Young BBL laser is non-ablative, there is very little downtime. It won’t damage your skin at all. You may have some swelling or redness, but that will diminish within a few hours. Beyond that, you can return to your normal activities and your regular routine immediately. You will want to avoid makeup and strong skincare products and stay away from excess sun exposure for at least the first 48 hours. Make sure to also use sun protection like sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and protective clothing.
