The Morpheus8 Treatment
Your Morpheus8 treatment begins by discussing your concerns with Dr. Willis and our team and determining the right treatment approach with RF microneedling. Morpheus8 is typically performed using a numbing cream for your comfort. Once activated, the skin will be cleansed and made ready for treatment. Then, the specialized handpiece will be applied to the skin where it will generate tiny wounds in the skin and, at the same time, administer radiofrequency energy to gently heat the deeper layers. Once the full area is treated, your skin will be soothed and made ready for the rest of your day. In all, Morpheus8 treatments can take 30-60 minutes to complete.
Recovery
There’s no downtime after Morpheus8, but to get best results it’s recommended to keep your activity level low and prevent sweating until your skin heals. You’ll likely experience some redness and sensitivity for the first day or so. It’s essential to keep the area moisturized with a gentle, unscented moisturizer and protected with SPF 30+.
You’ll begin to see improvement in your skin’s overall look and quality within one week of treatment, but it can take 1-2 months for the full impact of collagen remodeling to become apparent. We recommend a package of 1-3 treatments with maintenance treatments yearly to extend your results and prevent the effects of collagen loss.
