What is Facial Contouring/Fat Grafting?

Facial contouring with fat transfer has become the gold standard for minor to moderate facial enhancement. In contrast to fillers, facial fat grafting provides a more subtle and permanent augmentation to the face. The Facial Contouring/Fat Grafting Procedure

During facial contouring using fat grafting, fat is moved from another area of the body to the face. This is achieved through the following three steps. First, fat is collected from another site of the body using liposuction techniques. The fat is cleaned so that only undamaged, whole fat cells are left, which are then injected into the predetermined areas of the face.

Recovery

Following your fat grafting facial procedure, mild to moderate swelling may occur. Any discomfort that occurs can be controlled with prescription or over-the-counter medications. Temporary bruising also often occurs at the liposuction site, which should resolve within 2-3 weeks. Many individuals with desk jobs can return to work after 3-7 days, and exercise can gradually be resumed after 2 weeks.
