Meet the Team

Amy is our aesthetic nurse and injector specialist. Coming from Lynchburg, VA, she brings 9 years of plastic surgery nursing experience to the team here at CPS. Her focus includes all facial injectables, chemical peels, microneedling and an extensive laser experience. Her knowledge of ZO Skin Health products is unparalleled and is here to answer any questions our patient may have regarding plastic surgery and medical spa treatments.

Amy brings over 30 years of nursing and administrative experience from Roanoke, VA to CPS. She is a former operating room nurse with a focus on plastic surgery and has been a clinical manager for both plastic and family practices. Amy retired from nursing in 2020 but missed her patients and profession. She is now a part-time multi-tasker at our practice; assisting when and where we need her most. She is also a member of a surgical mission team and travels with them to Guatemala and the Dominican Republic. In her free time, Amy is an avid DIY’er, enjoys traveling the globe with her husband, and spending weekends with their rescue dogs at their cabin by the creek in Bath County, Va.

Julie has over 10 years of experience at a local outpatient surgery center assisting in plastic and reconstructive surgery. She graduated from PVCC Magna Cum Laude with an associates degree in Science and and graduated from her Surgical Technologist program with honors. She has mastered the art of multi-tasking by raising 5 kids, but now has time to relax and enjoy her first grandchild. On the weekends you can find her in her garden or in a kayak on the James River.

Layla recently graduated from Florida State University and is currently in a Masters Program with the plan to apply to Physicians Assistant School in a year or two. In the meantime, she will take you through the surgical scheduling process to make the experience as seamless as possible. She has a mini Aussie and spends her spare time with her boyfriend, a first year UVA Law student, exploring the vineyards and restaurants in and around Charlottesville.

Cherise is one of our front desk associates and a recent transplant from Oregon and Arizona. Having worked previously in a dermatology office, she has extensive cosmetic experience and is very knowledgeable about our skin care line and everything skin related. With a multi-state aesthetician license, she hopes to build on her foundation of aesthetic skin care and provide top level service to our patients.

Maya is a native of Charlottesville VA and has been in the beauty industry for 10 years. She will be one of the first smiling faces to greet you when you come to our clinic. Outside of work, she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and getting outside during the Spring and Summer months. During the winter months, she can be found snuggling with her pet cat Binx, or raising her new baby as a first-time mom. 

Stella is a Pre-PA student with her clinical medical assistant and phlebotomy technician certifications. Outside of her studies, she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her husband. She also spends a couple of weeks out of the year visiting her hometown in Idaho.

Madison is originally from Bethesda, Maryland. She will be graduating from the University of Virginia as a College Science Scholar this upcoming Spring. In addition to her passion for science as a major in biology, she is a UVA Health Clinical Ethics Intern with an interest in the field of bioethics. She will be applying to medical school next year, but in the interim, she is very excited for the opportunity to work here at Charlottesville Plastic Surgery. In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends and family, cook, practice yoga, and play pickleball.
